A new indicator light for cars

mood: pissed offpissed off
music: Il Divo - Regresa a mi

I've lived in Bangalore since 1996 (more or less) and now call it home, but I grew up in Delhi. But the only thing I miss about Delhi is its wide smooth roads.

Driving in this city is a wonderful catalyst for road rage. And since I have to drive to work every day, I find myself swearing and yelling a lot.

Which is why I think that in addition to the brake lights, the turn indicators, and the reversing indicator, there is the need for one more little indicator. I hereby propose that all cars be fitted with the "middle finger" indicator. When somebody behind you honks even though you're all stuck in a traffic jam, when somebody tries to flash his lights and overtake you even though there is no space to pass, or when somebody blares his horn the moment the traffic light turns green, a little light in the shape of a raised middle finger can be activated to convey exactly what you're feeling. Just press a button and it glows. The idiot behind you gets the message. I think it will be a wonderful stress-buster.

I've even thought of a cool advertising line for it: "FlipperGlow - for those "up yours, asshole" moments"

How can you listen to Il Divo and be pissed off, at the same time?
:P

I'm listening to Il Divo to calm down.

Singing along with them can be quite therapeutic. Just listen to the second half of "Passera". ;)

Here in Australia they were thinking of having a similar indicator, to say Sorry when you do something accidentally. They make a huge deal out of everything here.
