Italian for a change
Shortly after ordering our food, a bread basket arrives with various kinds of bread:
And there was a nice big jar of extra virgin olive oil to go along:
The soup, a porcini mushroom soup, was just brown and not photogenic in the least, so I skipped it.
My main course, a grilled fish on a bed of polenta and surrounded by pesto:
Dessert was this Creme Brulée with three kinds of chocolate:
And the final bit was the dark chocolate balls flambéd in brandy provided by the restaurant:
All in all, a wonderful afternoon out. And the food was pretty darn good too.
